What is 3dmotive.com?

We create and produce high quality digital training and tutorials by game industry pros, all delivered in HD and streamed instantly. We currently offer training for many of the most popular 3d content creation apps as well Photoshop and the Unreal Engine (including UDK). Support for other applications, topics, etc is constantly evolving. Stay tuned!

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We've teamed up with Chargify and Authorize.net to offer a secure, hassle-free buying experience. Support for other payments methods is being considered. 

I've purchased a subscription. Now what?

Once you have completed the transaction you will be brought back to the 3dmotive.com site where your account setup will then be complete. Soon, you'll get an email with your temporary password and login instructions. Typically this happens in a matter of minutes. If you don't receive an email please contact us at support@3dmotive.com. Once you've logged into the site we highly recommend you go to your account dashboard and change your password. 

Can I get a multi-seat / multi-user discount? How about an educational discount?

We offer both! You'll need to contact us at support@3dmotive.com and we'll get you squared away. For qualified student and faculty members, we offer a discounted monthly subscription rate. If you're a studio, school or other institution looking for multi-user / multi-site access get in touch. We offer bulk rates and additional features for groups! 

Can I cancel at anytime? 

Absolutely! You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Just hit the big red cancel button! And of course, you can re-activate your account at any time. Great if you just want to check out a new video.  

Will my account be pro-rated if I cancel before my next renewal?

We don't do any pro-rating of accounts. If you cancel before your next renewal your account will remain active until that date.  

Can I upgrade from a 'free' account? 

Our free account gives you access to post on the news page and in the community forums. If you'd like access to premium features such as the video content and project files you'll need to upgrade your account. This can be done from your Account Dashboard. Simply select the plan you'd like to move to and add a payment method. That's it! 

I need help or would like to send feedback. Who do I contact?

If you're having an issue that is not covered in this section, please email support@3dmotive.com. We'll get back to you promptly. You can of course also post in the forums! 

What's included with my subscription?

All paid subscriptions include unlimited streaming access to video training, projects files, a crack support team and more. Take a tour and view all features. If you decide to save some green with a 6 month or 12 month access pass you'll also get a sweet custom badge for the forums (our way of saying you're awesome for helping us grow!). If you grab a 12 month pass you'll also get a sweet 3dm tshirt. 

Where do I go to set my avatar for the forums? What about a signature? 

We know these are common items found on just about every forum these days - we didn't miss the memo, we're aware! We'll soon support custom avatars and signatures via your Account Dashboard. In the meantime, if you'd like to set a custom avatar, simply signup for a Gravatar at Gravatar.com w/ the same email address your using for the 3dmotive site. 

Do I have to use my real name on the community forums?

We're still on the fence about this one. We feel real names will build a stronger more focused community. We reserve the right though to switch over to handles at some point however. 

What software will I need to watch video and use the site?

You'll need a modern web browser (Firefox 3.5+, IE 8+ or Chrome 8+)  with the flash plugin installed and javascript enabled. 

Can I share my account / login details?

Nope. Each subscription is meant for one user. If you share your account details with others you may risk having your account suspended, without refund. If you'd like to have access for your group contact us and we'll get you setup with a multi-user account.
